TECHNICAL SALES

Full-Time - Direct Hire

Compensation:  $70K+ Annually

Do you have an uncanny ability to understand customer needs and provide solutions? Our Technical Sales team works hard to engage customers; guide and lead the evaluation stage of the sales cycle, demo equipment, and provide comprehensive Proof of Value. You will be engaged in interactive pre-sales discovery meetings, analysis of customers’ current handling, operational and business needs; and the development and presentation of lifting solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with our outstanding sales team from initial discovery to deal close to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates.
  • Oversee and participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing demos and highly technical Proof of Value engagements for both existing customers and new sales opportunities.
  • Be the direct conduit translating customer challenges into technical solutions, positioning RonI to solve those challenges.
  • Function as a technical expert throughout Sales engagements, ensuring that tactical motions in the pre-sales and POV process line up with strategic account goals.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure maximum technical effectiveness and consistent customer experience throughout the POV process.
  • Consistently address our customers’ needs through astute verbal, written, & presentation skills.

  • Build, manage and maintain relationships with the customer, in addition to relationships with peers and partners.
  • Participate in trade shows.
  • Customer-facing Sales and Channel enablement, including training.
  • Operate as a keystone in the sales model, working with the Sales, Engineering, Accounting and production groups to improve effectiveness and efficiency throughout the customer life-cycle.
  • Travel expected to be 40-60% to engage with customers and prospects in person.

 

Requirements:

We Are Looking for Someone with

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
  • Minimum of (5-10) years’ experience in sales in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook. Strong written, verbal and collaborative communication skills.
  • Experienced in conducting effective and professional sales/product training via in person or virtual (Webinar), to groups and various media forums
  • Experience in successful sales strategy formulation and execution.
  • Proven experience in meeting sales goals/quotas and ability to prospect and close sales to new and existing customers.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and experienced in gathering market intelligence and conducting competitive analysis.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage priorities and work independently as well as on a team.
  • Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
